Biological Resources
Effective biological studies and agency consultation protects ecological resources and expedites project implementation. We provide biological services that address the requirements of federal, state, and local laws and policies, as well as national and regional guidelines and policies.
Biological Services
EPG’s biology group provides biological resource services to both public and private clients through the full project life cycle: screening and critical issues analyses, NEPA documentation, and other planning and permitting activities. Our biological services include:
- Threatened and endangered plant and animal surveys
- Wildlife community inventories
- Plant inventories, community analysis, and mapping
- Analysis using habitat models and other geospatial information
- Vegetation and weed management plans
- Permitting assistance, review, guidance, and other regulatory support services
- Construction, maintenance, and reclamation monitoring
- Habitat conservation and restoration planning, implementation, and monitoring
- Wetland, stream, and upland mitigation planning
- Adaptive management planning
- Avian and bat protection planning and avian collision hazard evaluations
- Clean Water Act Section 404 permitting
- Expert testimony
