EPG staff in Salt Lake City volunteered with Wasatch Community Gardens, a local non-profit organization serving Salt Lake Valley residents since 1989 with the belief that the quality of a community is directly related to the quality of its food. They offer garden space, educational programs, and community events to empower people to grow, harvest, preserve, and prepare fresh, healthy food.

Our staff volunteered at the Tomato Sandwich Party, which was a great success with over 550 visitors and hundreds of heirloom tomato sandwiches prepared!  The Garden’s Community Relations and Volunteer Director called the Monday following the event to offer a special thanks to EPG for coming out and helping to make this annual event possible.
